Softball Coaches

Eva Gutierrez is joining Complete Game 619 this summer as a softball instructor, bringing recent high-level playing experience, strong fundamentals, and a passion for helping young athletes grow in the game.

She just completed her freshman year as a Medical Redshirt due to knee surgery. A Class of 2025 graduate from Torrey Pines High School, Eva competed in one of San Diego’s most competitive high school softball programs as a corner infielder. She played Travel Softball for one of the Academy Teams at Athletics Mercado. Throughout her career, she developed a reputation for being a reliable defender, a smart hitter, and a consistent teammate who embraces hard work and accountability.

At Complete Game 619, Eva will work primarily with youth and middle-school athletes, focusing on:

  • Hitting fundamentals and confidence at the plate

  • Corner infield defense (fundamentals and footwork)

  • Game awareness and softball IQ

  • Practice habits, preparation, and team culture

Eva’s coaching style is energetic, positive, and detail oriented. As a recent high school player, she connects naturally with younger athletes and serves as a great role model for players who aspire to compete at the high school level and beyond.

We’re excited to have Eva helping our athletes build confidence, sharpen fundamentals, and fall in love with the process this summer. 🥎
